- This Privacy Policy describes ALF’s handling of personally identifiable information that is collected when you are on the ALF site and when you use ALF services.
- ALF’s pledges to hold all information you provide in strictest privacy.
- ALF’s will never provide your name, e-mail address or personal information to a third party, unless authorized by you.
- ALF’s will not sell or rent its mailing list.
- Only authorized employees and associates may access your information.
- All employees and associates are required to comply with ALF privacy policies. Anyone who violates the privacy policy is subject to disciplinary measures, up to being criminally prosecuted for their violation.
Traffic Information
Through the combination of both internal and third party tracking code and cookies, the following categories of information are tracked when a user enters the site: (1) IP address, (2) domain server(s), (3) type of computer used, (4) types of web browsers. This is referred to collectively as “Traffic Data.” ALF uses such data for general marketing purposes and to improve the usefulness of the site.
ALF’s may use third-party advertising or marketing companies to advertise on its behalf. These companies may employ cookies and action tags to measure advertising effectiveness. Any information that these third parties collect with these methods is completely anonymous.
Your Personal Information
In order to access and use ALF’s legal document products and services, we require users to provide personal information, known collectively as “Personally Identifiable Information” or PII.
PII includes: (i) “Contact Data” (for example, your first and last name, physical street address, city, state, zip code, phone number and email address), (ii) “Financial Data” (such as your credit card number, expiration date and verification code) and (iii) “Demographic Data'” (such as your zip code and gender). The PII is necessary to generate to provide you with the documents that you purchase from our website.
Contact Data and Traffic Data gather general statistics regarding users in order to improve the usefulness of the website. We may use demographic data in a way that does not identify you specifically, but identifies certain criteria about users in general. For example, we may inform third parties about the number of users and the pages most frequently accessed.
We use Contact Data from time to time to provide special information and promotions regarding our products or to contact the user about an order. Any Financial Data gathered is used strictly for the purposes of processing the financial transaction for your order.
Automatic Collection of User Data
ALF servers and software automatically recognize user data. No personal information is disclosed in this process. The site may use this user data to compile Traffic Data about the kind and types of users that use the website. We may also use this data to help diagnose problems with our server, to administer the site or to display the content according to user preferences. Traffic and transaction information may be shared with business partners, affiliates, and/or advertisers from time to time on an aggregate and anonymous basis.
Cookies
ALF may use the cookie function and tracking codes which allows ALF to store a small piece of data on a user’s computer about the visit to the site. PII is not captured in such cookies, nor does ALF use cookies to collect PII. PII is only recorded when a user logs on to the system and willingly discloses such information in their personal profile on the site.
Confidentiality and Security of Personal Information
ALF will keep your PII private. We will not share it with third parties unless you specifically approve of the disclosure, or if ALF is required by law to comply with a requirement such as a law, federal regulation, search warrant, subpoena or court order.
Third Party Websites
The ALF site may include links to other websites. If you choose to visit other websites, ALF is not responsible for the privacy practice or content of those other websites. It is your responsibility to review the privacy policies of those websites to confirm that you understand and agree with their policies.
Lost or Stolen Data
ALF has security measures to prevent the loss, misuse, destruction and alteration of the information that you provide or we obtain from you. However, ALF had no liability to you or to a third party that may result from any such loss, misuse, destruction or alteration.
Retention of Records
ALF retains PII for a period of seven years as users often request a record of their past orders or a new version of a document ordered in the past.
Data Security
We are committed that our site and connections meet the most up-to-date encryption and security standards. ALF has implemented procedures to safeguard and secure information collected and to prevent unauthorized access. Credit card and personal information are transmitted by secure servers. Documents are delivered by email or priority mail.
User Ability to Update Personally Identifiable Information
At any time, you may access your personal account profile by clicking on the LOG IN link. Through your personal profile, you are able to review and update your Contact Data, complete partial orders or begin a new order. User Choice Regarding Collection, Use and Distribution of Personally Identifiable Information.
You may choose not to provide us with any PII. You can visit the ALF site, and review the Resource and Education Center information; however, you will not be able to access or use those sections of the website which require your PII.
If you do not wish to receive information and/or promotional materials from ALF or from our partners, you may opt-out when you create your account or unsubscribe from the mailing list or any of the promotions or other materials sent to you.
